Because Spain's game improved 150% today as soon as he entered it.
That's happened in every game except against Greece, when it didn't count. For some reason Arragones doesn't fancy him, even though every single other person can see the difference he makes to the team.
Maybe Arragones thinks Fabregas is black.

When Fabregas came on I immediately announced "Three-Nil to Spain".
Impressing a room full of nonplussed Canadians was a minor victory but a victory nonetheless.

I wonder if the Dutch would have been decimated this way had they been in the semi-finals or was it just a brilliant tactical change by the Spanish coach?..any other reason for this sucCesc?

The new series of Celebrity Masterchef is going to feature
Clare Grogan and Noel Whelan. Noel Whelan! He's famous in Leeds for celebrating scoring for Middlesborough at Old Trafford by giving a Leeds Salute, but I'm not sure he qualifies as a celebrity.

Surely Fabregas will start in the final now? Especially as Villa has been ruled out (my FFL captain for the whole tournament....)

Great result for Spain. That little flick over the top from Fabregas for the second goal...genius.
The girlfriend informs me that Fabregas is not rated in Spain at all. He plays fantastic for Arsenal but has historically put in some real subpar performances for Spain.
It would be kinda like Hargreaves playing out of his skin for Bayern but playing shit every time he played for England, then having some German guy berating the English for not playing him every game.
That said his performance last night (and in the rest of the tournament) more than justifies his inclusion in the starting 11.
Torres needs to buck up though if they want to lift that trophy.

I really want Spain to win this. On form going into the final they look so much sharper - much more creative and confident as a team.
I suspect Germany will actually win though.
Must remember to change my FF team today.

Shepherd ends Leeds Utd interest
Former Newcastle United chairman Freddy Shepherd has ruled himself out of the running to invest in Leeds United.
Shepherd had been linked with the Elland Road club but the move appears to be off after Shepherd admitted he is trying to buy Real Mallorca of Spain.
"All I can say is we're in discussions," Shepherd told the Newcastle Chronicle.
"We now live in Majorca most of the year and they have always been our second team."
After selling his 28% stake in Newcastle in 2007, Shepherd was believed to have explored the possibility of buying or investing in Leeds.
"A lot of chairmen are passing through clubs, but let me make one thing crystal clear. That's not me," Shepherd added.
"I could never do what Ken Bates or Peter Ridsdale did and join another club's board if I ever left Newcastle. No chance whatsoever.
"It's in my blood. You can get rid of the wife or the bank manager, but a Geordie can never get rid of Newcastle."

In the spirit of being able to enjoy the final without worrying in the back of my mind who is earning lots of points for/totally fucking up my fantasy team, I am taking this opportunity to bow out of the PRF league. Hats off to everyone, I had a lot of fun pitting wits against all of you.
