I'm one of those guys who looks for two unused spaces so I can just drive into the second one. It's because 1) I'm lazy, 2) I don't trust my motor skills when backing up.

So, OK, you'll run over the pedestrian forwards instead of backwards. If that's the reason people do it, fine. Just seems like it's always "bros" doing it around here, hence my conclusion into personality. My conclusion is now that bros care about not running over people backwards.

But it remains a pet peeve for me when a few things happen: many people are really bad at it and end up parking diagonally across two parking spaces, and there's always someone who doesn't back up enough and blocks my view of traffic when it's my time to leave, when I almost run into someone who isn't following the parking lot safety guideline of not driving 30 miles per hour.
