can it not be turned off, bypassed? if it can, then the best clips would probably be those that feature it being turned on and off, playing more or less the same thing. actually, the best might be if you took an instrument, split its signal with a Y-cable or ABY pedal, then recorded it direct into your recording setup and also using its DI capability. then, take each of those, and "reamp" them, micing the amp/cab in a fairly normal way. then, also record it reamped with the pedal engaged, multiple different times with different settings that you think capture some of its best range of tones.
I think that'd probably give the closest thing to an "objective" evaluation of what the pedal subjectively does. comparing apples to apples and also to oranges and tangerines and whatnot.
