But seriously--> Long-standing Chicagoans with more of a punk edge tend to root more for the White Sox. I think the Cubs are seen as more fratty and haven't been managed as well despite some wins. And the Yankees are one of the most monied/hegemonic teams in the history of the sport. People tend to dislike them in the same way that viewers of Karate Kid root against Cobra Kai.
