On the way now to Milwaukee for QWERTYFEST opening night. Should be a weird time around typewriter enthusiasts.
Have a great show!

Is there a simple way to sell tickets to club shows without imposing ridiculous fees these days? At one point Craigslist worked, but I get the feeling everybody has fucked off to Facebook Marketplace or someplace. I have an extra ticket to OFF! in Chicago, which is sold out (probably because it was meant to be Shellac opening), and really just want to cover my cost, but I can't see a single ticket for sale anywhere online.

So for anyone curious it seems like this is virtually impossible unless according to "Lincoln Station / Schubas FAQ", you send the buyer a photocopy of your Picture ID, so they can get past the will call desk. Seeing as there is no other way to purchase tickets, and no refunds, it feels a bit crazy that there is no straightforward solution for people whose plans change and don't want to be out 40 bucks. Are they trying to get me to like Ticketmaster?
Also this show sucked. It was about time for these guys to hang it up. A sad capper on what was supposed to be a celebratory Shellac gig.

Big|Brave are playing on Friday (8/9) at Beat Kitchen. They were incredible when I saw them last year at Ghost Canyon Fest.

Just saw them this week at a VERY strange venue in Paw Paw, MI, and they were unreal. Long set that didn't feel like it. Crushingly loud, but I felt every note.
Big fan.

Home town gig a week ish back was not as crushing as prior shows here but the newer album is a bit like that so fair enough. Could have been the first time they didn't play the most current album mostly front to back. Always great, whatever the are up too... Weird seeing a bass player up there...
