You didn't offend me just was curious as to what point you were trying to make.

It's not so much 'boundaries' because everyone has their own set....so yeah, I guess I have personal boundaries and can only speak for myself....it's a matter of things being more complicated with certain people. To me, in my life I have noticed and been straight up told that black people are more sensitive to certain things than other groups of people might be. Things that would seem like nothing to me, or not really threatening or even out of line

My family moved to New Zealand just after elementary school. I copped many a 'slur' for being a white male American. Even from parents of kids i went to school with. I was taken aback. Perhaps, because I was just a kid and had never been exposed to this sort of thing before. It was living in NZ that really taught me what Steve has posted previously except replace 'white' with 'in the majority.' I can't imagine being white in Zimbabwe is an easy gig.

In this world, fear or hatred of (or at least a lack of communication with) people from other races is the norm and not the exception, while love of (and familiarity with) watches, pizzas and poodles is pretty widespread.

But in general I agree that the people who jump all over Mandroid for this shit need to back off. What she said is no worse than what lots of us say all the time, whether in a racially-charged context or in one of a bazillion others where people are liable to sounding bad.
