But not as great as their cover of "Behind Blue Eyes."

Not the worst, but in the "wetf" category of covers...Def Leppard just released an album that includes a cover of The Nerves' "Hanging On the Telephone", already successfully covered by Blondie.
grodie to the max

They probably thought it was a Blondie cover.

A co-worker's young daughter was a fan of Ms. Spears. He brought in some record of hers where she attempts to sing "Satisfaction".
This Britney Spears song resulted in something far from satisfaction for me. I don't recall if she lamented a lack of girl reaction or if the lyrics were changed. Certainly the arangement was, and for the worse...

The idea of Britney Spears singing "Satisfaction" is enough to make me bleed from my crotch.

[quote="SecondEdition"]I don't know, sometimes I get a kick out of hearing great songs get completely mutilated by terrible groups.[quote]
I don't have a good answer for this thread, but I do agree with this comment.
The only ones I hate hate hate are ones that are both clearly inferior and as popular or more popular than the originals. Ones that come to mind are Manfred Mann's cover of "Blinded by the Light" and Some Whitebread Asshole's cover of "Tracks of My Tears". As long as I don't hear them on the radio more often than I hear the original, I "get a kick out of them", even if they're as stupid and awful as Alien Ant Farm's "Smooth Criminal" or Save Ferris's "Come on Eileen".

I love this, this Phil Collins song.
This cover, she failed to capture the essense and the beauty of the pacing and payoff of the fine fine original.
This cover, by this unknown nu-metal scream dork punk band, she fails my friends.
She fails, and we are all the worse off for it.
Upon further research, I have uncovered that this band is called Nonpoint.
WTF.

Judas Priest - Johnny B. Goode
They change the chords in the chorus! It's wretched.
