My friend is a first-year teacher for chicago public schools. When she got her class roster she found that one of her first-graders had the first name of... wait for it...
Mummypraise.
Fucking Mummypraise. We had to wait two weeks just to find out that Mummypraise was a girl, and her mom's name is, like, Mary or something. I can't imagine, even as a teacher, being able to keep a straight face while calling role for the first time.

I used to have a boss at one of my jobs in Austin, whose first name was Grenade!
On top of that, he had served four years in the Army and said that he heard every joke that you could imagine.....

i went to high school with a girl named Velveeta. she claimed one of the e's was silent, and the correct pronunciation was "velveda". regardless, it was spelled like the "cheese".

I was a K-5 Art Teacher for five years, I taught over 700 students each year in two schools.

Chelesia (Chelsea?)

Drae
God, there were more, I just can't remember them.

My whole family calls me by my middle name, Nelson.
It's not a first name and it's not that unique, but it's pretty rare.
Drae is pretty fuckin awesome though.
