NTHX.

Something about the resort rock weekend idea doesn't appeal to me. The appeal of the live act is gone when I have to leave ten minutes before one set ends so I can get close to the next band. I like driving to the venue while listening to the band that I am going to see. It is exciting when the band pulls in front of the venue in their shitty diesel van. Most festivals are for the kind of people that make lists. It is impossible to enjoy the show, but at least you can tell all of your friends that you saw [insert band on reunion tour]. Festivals are like orgies. They are easy to get excited about. You may drive many miles to go to one. No one gets the attention that they deserve because you have to run around and put notches in your belt. I prefer an intimate experience with one or (if I am very lucky!) two bands.

You guys have fun with your "free" bedding.

Damn, too bad I'll be at school 8 hours away. It would be that much better if Built to Spill were performing There's Nothing Wrong with Love, but it's not really worth complaining about something I not only can't change but isn't really that bad and won't affect me at all.

But yeah, with Built to Spill promising in advance to perform good material, my favorite Meat Puppets album, Low, My Bloody Valentine, and you can figure this out on your own, I'd say it's nothing to scoff at. And it's in the Catskills. That's just ridiculous.

If you'd agree to wear a fake pregnant stomach while wearing the girl scout outfit I'm in, a million ways we can make some cash with that set up.
