what's your position on vibrato then?

Did I get the two terms confused? I can do that sometimes.

naw, it's not you, it's most of the world actually. my fender twin says it has vibrato when really it's got tremolo. guitars have what people call "tremolo" bridges, when in reality they're vibrato bars. i was just being a schoolmarm nitpicker since you were disparaging the whammy bridge in general. i'm just bein an assface is all.

alright mr whammy bars suck. here's a guitar that has no whammy bar but can get you a strat sound, a tele sound, a les paul sound, and lots of other sounds, too. AND, it's local chicago.

i'd buy it but i already have one. mine's got the extra pickup so y'know, it gets like 1,200 different sounds instead of just 300.

and i mean, i dunno, you could always drop a wonderbar on it, y'know.

I have no doubt he owns one, but Ive always associated Clapton with:

Yardbirds: Les Paul? 335? I dunno.
Cream: SG
Early solo, Derek and the Dominos, etc.: Les Paul
80s/90s solo: Strat
New Millennium: Nylon-string acoustic

Perhaps I'm alone in this, but Ive never really associated the Tele with Clapton. Again, I dont doubt he owns one.

Tele = Keith Richards in my book. Or Roy Buchanan. Or Danny Gatton.

So obviously Teles make you kill yourself or shoot elephantine quantities of heroin.
