While I wasn't really thinking about it, this line of "Hardware Sim..." did occur to me. It's hard to deny that the line does seemingly warrant it's existence.

I just got mine in the mail today. My plan is to play with it a little to fill my curiosity, and even compare it to the TC Electronic Jims 45. I'm planning on selling it at a very reasonable price.

I might be interested in it at that very reasonable price. Lemme know when you’re there. In the demos I’ve seen comparing the two, the TC one sounded like dog ass comparatively. Interested in your personal findings.

Just played with the Lion. Its fucking amazing. Ok, call me a Marshall guy, now. I've never been impressed with the 800, which is the one I've seen more than any. Knowing the Traynors were modeled off of Marshalls at the time, I was thinking I was going to like this pedal, but I like it even more than I imagined. All the channels sound great. I was most curious about the Super Bass. It would make for a bass amp in a pinch, possibly a solid bass amp with some proper tweaking. The cabs sound great, too. I turned the cabs off and put it through the Opus with a bass cab and that sounds pretty good, too. Just a really cool pedal if you like these kinds of vintage amps!

Really can't wait to try the TC Electronic Jims 45. If that sounds anywhere close to the Lion, it would be a killer budget pedal amp.

That said...

I have never felt like a "Marshall..." person, but I would be perfectly happy if the "Marshall..." in the Quilter SuperBlock UK was the only sound I had for however long I'm around.

To make a better comparison, there's plenty of single effect pedals and class D amps that do a lot less for a lot more money. I kinda understand where you're coming from, but also the price range seems about right.
