the older i get, the more i understand just how awesome Judas Priest was.
i think to grow up in the late 80s when Metallica/Megadeth/Slayer were considered the kings and would reference Priest, it was really weird to then hear a song like Breaking the Law, which is so much slower and different.
Now i seriously can’t get enough. Absolutely love the drumming on those songs. Don’t look up the drummer thought :/
I like Medusa by Trapeze, which also features that asshole's drumming.

Can someone post some "good" RJD, in any band/era, without posting "Holy Diver"? I'm just not hearing it.
The guitarist in my high school band was a Sabbath fanatic, the whole gamut, even Tony Martin. I could never bite to
that era, but he did get me to listen to
Dehumanizer. It's way more trad metal than everything else the band did, but Dio is gunning for it across the whole album. No accounting for taste, if you hate the guy's voice no one can change that, but I don't see how a different singer could make this better:

Dehumanizer is really great.

Dehumanizer is underrated. That was my introduction to Dio Sabbath.

Dehumanizer is bogged down by an extremely grey and dull production but the material is cool; I'd say it has more in common with sludgy 70s era Sabbath than it has with the previous Dio albums or the Tony Martin era...

The 2008 remaster is an improvement, but the original still beats 13. The Tony Martin records do nothing for me.
