A muzak Frank Ocean cover is not the worst idea I could conceive of, but his trumpet playing is embarrassingly flat.

I don't think it's bad. Kind of endearing, playing Local on the 8's with band nerds.

It's not like he's blowing masterfully through changes or anything. But he's doing a thing that seems personal to him. God knows he could do a lot worse, like forming another shitty supergroup with LA douchebags.

His trumpet doesn't sound flat to me. Nice to see another trumpet playing bassist.
