i liked the sweater song for about a minute, and when i was a kid i thought it was really cool when they went "say it ain't soo-ooh-oh oh" and the guitar went "dun dun- waaaay waaay"
face it, weezer sucks. they always have, except at one point in your life, you didn't realize it, and so now weezer reminds you of that time in your life so you like weezer.
CRAP and two thirds. shame on 28 of you for thinking otherwise.

Ha, ha. YES! You are correct sir.

33No, he really does seem intelligent from what I have read. Yeah, he is a bit loony. He was talking about how he locked himself in this all black room with no windows for a while and stuff.Lazybones wrote:....these are not emotional heartbreak songs. The lyrics border on Weird Al territory.
Yes, my thinking exactly. That's what I thought I liked about them, but apparently the bastard was trying to write "serious" lyrics all along. Ha, ha, ha. Emo craze... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-a-mooooooooooooooooI posted a reply to it, trying to discuss the obvious, which he did not allow to be posted. Rivers as a person seems interesting and super intelligent...
Rivers seems like a loony.
You guys are so dead on.

34I went to see Weezer last night.
Tickets cost £25.
They were selling t-shirts for £18 and polo shirts for £30. There were no hoodies on sale.
I saw a lot of people wearing these t-shirts. This should allow Rivers to stay on at Harvard for another few years.
Live, they were pretty boring, and the new songs got no reaction from the crowd. I don't think this was because the crowd didn't know the songs. 'Beverley Hills' is a terrible song, and the 'We're All On Drugs' song is even worse.
I still voted for Not Crap, but now I'm not so sure. Highest
ever...
Buck 65, Fantomas and Basement Jaxx were all playing in Glasgow last night. I think I made the wrong decision

35I love the Blue Album, but...
Well, after that, the words "precipitous decline" come to mind.
Then I heard "Beverly Hills," and immediately shouted to my girlfriend, "Rivers Cuomo is fucking dead to me!"

If your only choices were these and Weezer, it was really a no-win situation.

37I want to hate them (them being Rivers), especially after that Rolling Stone interview, but the songs are just too good.

38I never liked Weezer.
But the Beverly Hills song is sooooo bad. I guess it is supposed to be some sort of ironic commentary? Or some shit? But who really cares. The band itself is like some sort of class project. It's impossible for me to take their music seriously.

39Always felt like that Blue album was Pavement for the 90210 set.
CRAP, wf 7 for some very catchy songs.
