Inasmuch as the sympathies of total strangers only familiar with one's artistic output mean anything, this is a giant fucking drag all around. Not much else I can really say.

This is terribly sad news...Silkworm is one of my favorite bands, and Michael was an inspiring drummer. All the members of that band seem like such nice guys as well....this is just terrible....My condonlences to all of SKWM's friends and family.

I feel completely sick to my stomach to hear this news. I only met Michael once in person, but that is all that was needed to see how much of an outstanding guy he was. His drumming carried such character and emotion, it truly stood out among all others.
