I love how, in that original thread, people were giving this dude shit about his guitar company, and now people clamor for them.
They are cool-looking guitars.

I was in Paris when Steve used the EGC.
The guitar sound was much better with the EGC than with his TB500.
Mine is fantastic too!

i love my egc. ive been whacking really thick strings on it and tuning to be c as its really great for sludgy stoner clang rock. it doesnt really sound to bright though, and cant really sing with clarity but it is fucking loud, hence works well for that style.
also i know its personal taste and all but ive heard the egc used at the paris show on youtube and it doesnt sound as good as his 500. if you notice he only played songs that need loud clang clang rather than soft beautiful clarity and sutlety that the tb is so good at. the egc isnt very good at this. still sounded pretty fucking good though on killers.

The one you played when I saw you last year sounded like god speaking from the heavens above.
It inspired the gear lust in me something awful.

I've picked up Ago and Steve's respective guitars and I did like the "feeling" better than the Bean.
They are beautiful guitars and sound great. But a wooden neck still feels better to me after having played a Kramer bass and a Veleno for a number of years. I got used to them, but still prefer the tree.
I'll probably wind up buying one some day anyways.

I don't know what you're doing but I've had 10s, 11s, 12s (and mixed sets of 11/12 DGBe and 10/11 EA) and never had any problems getting it to come out really bright and with clarity. I have two single coils in mine (a 500), did you get alternate pickups? A different model?
