For some reason that song really sticks in my head. If Britney had recorded it, they would have spent a lot more money on it and it could have been a really incredible pop song.

It is a really incredible pop song! Ice cube tray percussion - not bad. I know what you mean though, given the same treatment as 'Toxic' - wow.

(Cathy Dennis is a genius. Word.)

I was very surprised that 'Egyptian Lover' by Space Cowboy wasn't a hit - I guess it's a straight Daft Punk copy but it's got something extra.

This song is pretty much The Shit. I've been lucky enough to play it twice live, with all the harmonies and the rest of it, because me and Kasper were trying to make a point. That we could actually sing, or whatever. We did rule those harmonies that night.

No, really.

The Passions - I'm in love with a German film star.

Weedy Durutti Column/Cure-ish pop from the early 80s. I like it!

'it's a glamorous world..' - no it isn't dear, at least not in a C&A blouse, fake pearls and hair by SSSSSSSSStudio Line.

I want to look up Gala's 'Freed from Desire' on YouTube which I am on record on another thread as enjoying but I'm worried it might not have aged well.

Stevie Wonder, in 1973. I think it was Incognito that covered it, authors themselves of 'Always There'.

I was once in the basement of a second hand record shop in London, and on the shelves beneath the regular vinyl racks were literally hundreds of pristine copies of the twelve inch of this single. They were in batches of maybe thirty, all together on a shelf.

I too enjoy this song and I reckon it'll stand up straight-backed and chest out. Senses purified!
