He could have not thrown them on the ground is the point. There is a garbage can on every corner. Get it? Throws everything on ground, then straight to recycling! Skips over garbage! So funny, so poignant, so, uh, not funny anymore. fuck.

Today, I was behind an SUV that had a bumper sticker stating "think globally, act locally." Shortly after noticing this, she threw a cigarette out onto the street.
Perhaps this is no contradiction at all, if one considers ulterior intentions.
What is it about cigarette butts that prevent them being considered litter?

AARRGGHHH!! This one makes my fucking head want to explode. One of these days, I'm going to get in trouble when I ask the wrong person this question after they toss their garbage on the ground. I saw a guy toss one out of his truck in a parking lot right before he parked it. I was real close to picking it up and putting it on the driver's seat while he was in the store. I'm going to get in trouble one day.
