Vince Staples also released a new record. I've not had a chance to listen properly yet.
Musically it's not very interesting, love everything he's done before it though.
I never really gave the self titled album from last year a chance. It's worthwhile? I didn't really like FM!
Oh I see I didn't notice he had a new on in 2022. S/T is the one I'm talking about that is just OK. Big Fish Theory and everything before is great. Have not listened to Ramona Park.... I like FM! too though.

This is OK. Funny that he's using a section of Yes's "Roundabout" for the main riff on that first track.
Some of that is...math rap!

Ramona Park Broke My Heart is good. Much better than Vince's s/t. Really doubling down on the blues elements lyrically but with a sort of cleaner west coast production style.

I'm trying not be a cunt about music these days. "Oh you like that cool, whatever. " but it made me think about Incubus and it's impossible to say that without feeling like a cunt.
Someone posted this in the "what are listening to now thread" and since this seems to now just be the hip hop thread i thought it was worth re-posting.
It's incredible. Like something from a Paul Verhoeven movie.
"if you know me and you know me well our fish is gonna tip that scale."
What the fuck.

As a big fan of the McD's filet-o-fish, I kinda wanna try that.

I wish they had more of a band? I love Pharoahe Monch, he's one of the greatest ever, but the one-guitarist-and-drummer setup just sounds thin. It sounds like they're screwing around for kicks rather than putting together full songs.

I kind of like that minimalism! for me it’s one of the better approaches of doing that band/rap thing.

Had that weird first song stuck in my head for about two days afterwards. Just constant. it's definitely "interesting".

Liking the new Vince Staples more and more. Kind of the direction i was hoping he'd go in after Big Fish Theory.
Can't stop watching this sick freestyle

Billy Woods. One half of armand hammer (who I never really cared for), but Billy's record gets better with every play.
