As I said earlier, I agree that we've never quite lived up to the hype, but it is a special place, and there are always some good bands around, even if you don't know them nationally.
That said, how's Charlottesville doing in that category? Denver? Lawrence? Madison? That we've *had* a golden age is something to be proud of.
There are some good bands around here these days. The influential Idolator website's best single of the year is by a Chapel Hill band. In fact, it was...um...
our band.

Unfortunately the video they link to is terrible. It's from a first gig, recorded on a camera phone. No PA. Doug and I wouldn't even be in the band for another year.
