I am always sorry to hear about someone losing one of their loved ones. My cat Amber was 20 years old, and had kidney failure. We kept her alive for two more months by saline injections, and in retrospect, it was a waste. She probably was uncomfortable and in pain and the treatments were very expensive. I know how hard it is to let go, we were selfish. Death is always harder on the survivors.
