I've read that the last shipped orders are due to arrive on the 10th. After that, things could go south pretty quickly.

One thing I learned when I was an overnight cashier at Cub during COVID is that most Americans love panic buying - it's exciting to them. They were enjoying themselves.

Do you really think that is what they were enjoying rather than just anticipating the adventure of a storm? I mean I know there's a bunch of selfish fucks out there but there is also excitement before a big storm.
