When I was about 12 my mom used to encourage me to wear cologne. She calls it "smelly." She tried to convince me it would help my chances with the ladies-as if the knock-off Jams, fake white reeboks, flybacks, trombone case and mu alpha theta membership weren't enough.

When I don't smell of cowardice, I occaisonally reek faintly of this which miss bought me. I like it just fine.

Creed - Bois du Portugal. This is nice, very old school. I worry slightly it might be the choice of professional footballers looking for a shortcut to quality and allowing them to delude themselves for a moment they've stepped out of a frame of Ocean's Eleven.

Geo. F (Fuckin') Trumper - Extract of West Indian Limes. Smell like a minor Royal, very reasonable and quite lovely.

i went through a phase in college (mid US-90's) during which i wore toilet water. i liked farenheit, byblos, and issey miyake.

now i use unscented deodorant and my aftershave is cold water followed by witch hazel.

I can't smell a goddamned thing, and am sort of glad.

My dad got an English Leather gift set for Chanukkah every year (not from me!) and I don't think he ever wore it.
