Listen to some Scratch Acid, that stuff is wayyyy more reminiscent of The Birthday Party than the Jesus Lizard.
Liar has "Gladiator" on it, which pretty much rendered me useless on the drums for a while, as after I first heard it, I didn't play anything else for a week or two. And even now whenever I sit down at a drum kit, it's one of the first things I play to warm up.

Goat are both amazing. Interesting to see who rated which one better.
Head is not to be discounted either. I own everything up to
Blue on vinyl. (Don't own
Blue at all.) Plus just about everything Scratch Acid did as well. Some of the most vital music of the last 20 years. But talking about that here is mostly just preaching to the choir, innit?
(oh, and as an aside Chapter Two, think Southgate'll do the job for you?)
