In my old house, I had an original Pettibon that a friend of mine from LA let me buy off of him. I think he had quite a few of them, his Dad was some kind of art collector or just a fan, I'm not sure which. He's since disappeared off the face of the Earth, I have no clue where I get get a hold of him.
Anyways, it was one of Pettibon's first watercolor things, and it was this gorgeous rush of colors and shapes, which ended up getting stolen from the moving truck at the apartment my family lived in just before the move to Atlanta.

Oh shit. That's terrible. Until the last part I was going "Yeah, nice!" Did you see Pettibon's workspace in the Minutemen doc? So funny. Such an uptight dude.

No kiddin. I like to go to thebirdmachine.com and visit
"Dog In Socks" in hopes that it's status has somehow changed from "Sorry, All Gone". I do this sleepily about every third day.
It's a little sad.
oh yeah i really like that one -- also bear and his dog and running with scissors... well everything, really... but naked animals with socks on... geez louise...
