Please make a .zip of that Albini version of Cheap Trick's In Color and post it to the Sendspace thread.

Thanks!

that is weird.

It's only weird if all of you ripped the same songs from the same edition of the CDs using the same version of iTunes, using the same model CD-ROM drive. Any variance in the above equation could produce an extra second or two here and there.

My MP3 collection has suffered a few casualties, but here's what I've got re-ripped/rebuilt from the last disaster: (sorry iTunes fanatics, this is Winamp's media library and you'll like it.)

For an amusing comparison, here is another snapshot of songs:

yeah, I've been thinking about that a lot recently. with the musical chairs (see footer), all of the mp3s from the two different sound sources are technically 1:03:28, but since it's rounded off, there's all these minute time intervals that don't get counted. When the chairs are running for a while, the reference gong tone that end marks all the tracks start drifting apart, and will eventually come back into sync.

It's still weird!
kerble is right.

I use foobar2000, sorry for the different look. Apparently I listen to nothing but 90s industrial, 90s pop-punk and 90s radio alternative. News to me...

I bet I'm the only person on here with a track off the Dial A Trance compilation. Great thread, a new playlist has begun!

Tree,

Someone has infiltrated your iTunes and downloaded Slaughter, Third Eye Blind, Snow, 311, and No Doubt into your playlist. You should get to the bottom of this immediately. Hackers, no doubt. (heh. No Doubt)
