I suck at music, but I'd be happy to help out in whatever way I can. Kudos on the idea.

Hotti Biscotti is much more comfortable than the Mutiny, and I assure you they are less likely to have something already going on
Maybe. Both places have their own charms and will definitely be off the beaten path for NYE.

Doesn't everyone just want to spend NYE with their respective loved ones somewhere relatively relaxed and not at a rock gig surrounded by people referring to each other by their 'handles'?
January/Feb - good call. That would be a non-hectic fun event.

Nah, balls to my loved ones. I'm down! NYE gigs are either great fun or well paid. I'll have to see what the rest of my band are saying though.

NYE so much better ! Are you busy on NYE, Chris?
What you described is what I call Christmas !

I agree. I enjoy a gig on NYE because it gives you a definte destination on a night when the pressure to 'have fun' is high. "This is what we are doing/did." Easy.
As far as getting together I will be in Ireland in December so I can't afford another jaunt so soon after. That said, I have hosted NYE parties for the last several years and would be happy to have bands and a blowout with the NYC area posters.

I'm in, Paris, london , whatever..
Does it really have to be a big easy-to-get-to city?
What about barcelona? (I know there aren't that many posters there but the weather... think about the weather...and the sea...)

I'd be more than happy to throw my services in to this shindig. Please to keep me informed as events warrant.

Me too. I hate New Year normally. I'm 100% behind any idea that can make it more fun.

Yeah, it would be maybe more interesting to do somewhere a little different, as great as the big cities are.
Barca is still pretty big, mind, but I think that it would be fab. Or Croatia. Or whereever a venue can be hired.
Edit: Balls. Un-musician that I am, I forget the likely trauma of moving gear around.
