Beyerdynamic M201, of the “rich man’s SM57” fame.
Really great, I actually like it better on my voice for a track than two other the two other more expensive condenser mics I tried out next to it. I was monitoring the playback with a few db’s of compression and stock reverb patch and that part sounded like a finished record, which is all I am ever really shooting for!
I need to remember to sell any mic I don’t have one of those little ‘a-ha’ moments with every so often, but so far I have never been disappointed with an Audio Technica or Beyer.
(Except for that time something broke)

Picked up a Prophet Rev2 for a great price. Lots of time spent with the behringer pro clone has made programming this very familiar.
There’s a lot of mixed opinions on the sound of the 08/Rev2 but I think it’s mostly internet dorks listening to youtube videos or comparing factory patches at a store - i feel like any undesirable quality is 1-3 knobs of change and you’re back in the zone. As far as functionality Vs price Vs practicality this ticks every box. I primarily bought it for my post-Chemo spouse to struggle less setting up. (It’s light and small for 61 keys)
As a live synth in an aggressive 2 guitar/bass/drums band this kicks ass. We are running it through a deluxe memory man and the dirt from the level drive in that really puts this over the edge. Love it!

It's probably the best value poly on the market. Covers a lot of bases and great build quality.
Jean Michel Jarre actually said it's one of the best polyphonic synths of all time.

That's awesome. I've been looking hard at their Take Five for quite a while.

The Take Five is GREAT - if we didn’t need the larger keybed and the voice count for strings that would’ve been my choice I think. Really flexible but immediately good sounds. The keybed didn’t feel as smooth as the Rev2, I loved it but my spouse being an actual piano player digs the Rev and the Virus keyboards, (Fatar whatever model)

Thats the way I feel - the latter part not educated enough to know but that’s reassuring!

Got a set of Neumann NDH20 headphones on a deep discount. Compared to the Sennheisers I use they are pretty unforgiving and can seem straight up bad, but you rebalance whatever you’re working on and everything sounds good again.
I just plug the headphones into the headphone out of a Midas Venice desk. I am assuming these headphones need a proper amp, so maybe I’m missing something in my setup, but I’m really happy with them.
Not sure if I would buy them or any headphones at what they go for full price though.

Holy cow, those are fancy. When I've read about the new cans they, or Focal have doctored up I always think: " Why would I bother, I don't ever mix on headphones." Then I think "Maybe if I had these I would!".
There is no need for room treatment in your head!

No shit! look at that. I’ve never been a black hardware guy but those ricks in that noir style shake me. So cool

I'm fully co-signed on that. I generally don't like black hardware either, but for some reason I love it on rics. The bass player in my band has a tuxedo white/black hardware 330 that is insane.
I'd been watching this on reverb for over a year, it was overpriced, finally the guy dropped the price by 40% and I lowballed that even further and in the end got a fair price on it. It's missing the hardcase and one of the pickups isn't original (but still a ric), but overall I'm pleased as punch with the guitar and the deal.
We're playing two "big" shows next week and I am stoked to bring it out for those.
