I love that album so much.
I brought home about 400 45s from the 50s and 60s yesterday, bought from a collector friend who's moving and combed through his collection weeding out doubles. I probably won't get through any of them until we hit a good winter cold snap and don't feel like going outside for awhile.
There's something special about an empty Grain Belt beer box full of 45s....

Lou Reed: Coney Island Baby
Silkworm: Libertine
New Order: Brotherhood
Meat Puppets: II, Up On The Sun, and Mirage
Lynrd Skynrd: Street Survivors
STNNNG: Dignified Sissy and Fake Fake
Slint: Spiderland
the Cure: The Walk
Everything but the Silkworm and STNNNG records were used from my local record store. I spent more on the Libertine than I've spent on any other single record, but it makes up for the ridiculous deals I've gotten on everything else Silkworm related in Seattle.
Did you find Libertine on eBay or??? Do you mind revealing how much? Orange or black cover?
I'm looking too, and wonder what that lp is commanding on the open market.
Thanks.

The 'bay. I paid $47 for it, though the last few copies I've seen have gone for over $80. It's the black paper with screen priniting on it.
I don't think many of these must have been pressed. It is harder to find than the
His Absence Is A Blessing 12".
Good luck! I honestly think this sounds better on vinyl, probably due to early 90s not great A/D conversion that is typical of most indie rock cd's of that era.

Thanks for the info... $50 does not surprise me... One of my fave bands but I never had Lib on lp and want to right my wrong, so pay I must. I'm guessing 1000 pressed with that cover, don't know how many with the orange? If Tmidgett is lurking...
