Something designed for PA install might be a good bet and sit nicely in your rack. Those ranes are supposed to be quite nice, burr brown chips, etc.

Anyhow I was posting out my ass yesterday about passive summers. I googled but didn't really read, the Little Labs and Black Lion devices are made for other purposes. From the little 2 channel Radial type things you can go to an Art rackspace 8x2 thing. And then it's sonic voodoo Neve mix down boxes from there.
