Wish there was more backstory about some of these pieces for sale, or to hear from the lesser-known or unknown bands (to me) whose work is listed. When some of the bands are listed as legendary local acts, I want to know if it's true. If those folks would stop by here, or are here, it'd be great.

Kind of wild seeing the "Do You Wanna Get Funky with Me?' 45 from Peter Brown. Dope tune. As a child the refrain "I wanna set you on fire...cause it's hot" used to freak me out. Now that I think about it it would've made for a curious Big Black rework in the vein of something like "In My House" from Mary Jane Girls. You know, ironic, but like real shit. I can hear Steve's guitar mutating Peter's keyboard salvo into icy shards of glass.

Fun fact: Peter Brown co-wrote "Material Girl."

Doesn't that homage already kinda sorta exist, ie the chorus to "Kerosene"?

Metal cover edition of Bulldozer on auction right now. Too bad I've never spent anything approaching $2,000 (or even one-tenth of that) on a record. Still, it's a lovely thing for a good cause re: those w/way deeper pockets. I keep kicking myself for passing on one of these in the '90s.
