Yeah, by all accounts Flea is a good guy but this is like 15 or so people gathered to bland the blandest of sauces together. It honestly sounds like it's on or beyond the verge of being a parody music, like Flight of the Conchords.

is there a passable cover of Wichita Lineman with Nick Cave? Yes.
It's a good cover of Wichita Lineman, however, it sounds more like a cover of Dick Slessig Combo's version.

Okay, so the album is perfectly fine. Glitchy jazz fusion. Nothing to really hate. Sounds like a jazz bassist’s solo album. Honestly, Flea seems like a nice guy, he’s done some very nice community projects, charity work etc. I’m giving him some credit.
"Nothing to hate." LOLZ. Someone called Gramsci should have an actual opinion. Are we so desperate today for a nice guy that that's enough to deem at minimum boring, at best bad art, passable? Oy vey.
Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy I like him just fine, but he's a bass player.
awww, playing the best hits! Loving it!

He should get Jon Benjamin on the piano.
