I will join the choir, and say to leave the knife at home. Actually, do carry a knife. I am never without a multi-tool, and a knife is a very handy thing to have, but not something to rely on for urban defense

If you knew how to carry yourself, you would not need the knife. If you need the knife, you probably won't use it right. Where are you going to keep it? How quick can you get it out? What is the other person going to do when you beginning your long slashing arc? Run at you with their throat? You have to get arms length from the person you want to use it on. Is that something you want to do?

I've been doing quite a bit of knife training in Kali recently and one thing that is being constantly drilled into us is to avoid knife fights at all costs. With the best training in the world if you get into a knife fight the chances are you will, at best, come away seriously injured.

You won't be thinking clearly in that situation (you hardly do sat at your fucking computer) and the knife could make you behave even less sensibly.

Clocker Bob was not just wrong about the claim he inundated us with for years.

He was egregiously wrong. So wrong that it's astonishing that someone could invest so much time, energy and paranoia into something like that. And he was pig-headed and abusive about it.

I'm glad he's apparently gone the way of the buffalo, and glad that I flushed him out. Less garbage to wade through.
