We may have used greenglue on the framing materials themselves to reduce any coupling but I can't remember.

Is this for a studio between control room / live room? We were mainly trying to reduce sound leaking out to neighbors so we could have band practice without disturbing neighbors in an attached rowhouse.

Any opinions on the benefits of rockwool over fiberglass? It certainly seems safer to install, and those crazies over at Gearslutz seem to like it for room treatment.

Rigid fiberglass has the benefit of being more rigid than rockwool, so it works better in certain treatment situations, like standalone panels. In corner bass traps and the like, rockwool works well, and is generally cheaper.

Yep. Solid core doors, weatherstrip or seal along the door jamb stop on all four sides. Some people attach drywall to the doors to add mass. Leave enough space between them so the doorknobs don t collide.

Anyone have any good advice for doors? I don't need to cheap out, but I'm also not opposed to a good deal. It doesn't need to be a perfect solution, just a 90-95% good solution.Cheers!
