I can attest to the Morgan. I downloaded it a few months ago and really liked it, probably my favorite software guitar amp that I tried. Definitely picked that up on the sale!
Check Out Kazrogs Airline V15 Sim. It cane out last week and sounds fantastic. Great Reverb!
Oh, gosh now I gotta look at it!
So, I went to check the demo out last night and could not for the life of me get it to work, it's really buggy. It showed for the I/O my audio interface, but the sound would only come out of my computer speaker and it crashed quite often. It was very confusing. I hope they fix it, because it looks cool and from the videos it sounds cool.

EDIT: I reached out to Kazrog support and they immediately got back to me about knowing the issue and working to fix it.

I’ve been using Amplitube for a while. It has a basic set of free amps and then you can buy brand amps like Fender Twins and Dual Rectifiers, pedals etc.

I bought the one of those iRig interfaces, at works fine.

If you’re after a software plugin it seems pretty straightforward.

I don't know, but check the Guitar ML and NAM libraries. I was considering capturing my Traynors before I sold them, but to be honest with you, there's plenty of options available to get the same sounds.

I only use the VST versions but I have the Cory Wong (has I think a Jazz Chorus, a Dumble, and a "DI" preamp). I use it for bass more than guitar and it is kinda just OK. I have the Tone King Imperial and it sounds really good at really crunchy and some clean, but you have to use an additional Spring reverb plug because it's spring is weak. I also have the Morgan Amps and they sound great but again, the spring reverb is meh.

Only buy them on sale. they are too expensive if you dont.

Just to fill out the other VST modelers I like for guitars and bass are the Brainworks Ampeg V4b and B15-N, Kazrog Airline, and the Brainworks Bassman amp mod. If they would just make a great Super Reverb... I'd be completely done with buying Amp Modeler VSTs. There are some out there but the reverb is never right. Spring seems hard to do in a modeler. I sometimes reamp my modeled amp tones through my Epiphone Pathfinder because if you turn the volume down and the reverb up you can get pure wet reverb and I'll bring that in parallel to the modeled signal.

as far as pedals, I have that cheap TC Electronics Deluxe Reverb pedal and it sounds pretty good... The spring reverb isn't right though.

The UA Deluxe Reverb pedal, to me, does not sound like a Deluxe Reverb, but instead sounds like a finished and processed studio recording of a Deluxe Reverb with a bunch of polish on it. Not bad, just not what I want.

I also have the Boss spring reverb pedal and its not great either. figure it out sound scientists!

cakes wrote: Wed May 15, 2024 4:16 pm Have you checked out Nembrini? They've got some Fender-style amps. They have a VST rig loader that is pretty handy for building out a stand-alone software setup.

If you use a VST loader, Pulsar recently release this spring reverb: https://pulsar.audio/primavera/
I like the Nambrini Klon Clon but haven't used their Amps. Their Muff and Rat aren't bad either... all free! The problem with fender style stuff in a modeler seems to be in the high end. Just not as bright and snappy as the real thing. Clean tone is a lot harder to reproduce to my ear than distorto tones. With spring reverbs, its all in the randomness. Springs do weird and unpredictable things in real life and all the digital versions seem to tame this in a way that doesn't sell for me. SoftTubes spring reverb is ok and I'll run it as a aux send a lot. None of them pop and boing enough though. And I've never heard one that tries to "skittle" other than a silly push this button to cause a i just dropped my amp head sound. Springs are just hard I think because they really don't work well when they are working perfectly and it is what I like about them.

Ordered the EAE Model feT. Might be overkill for the idea I have going on b/c I’m already stacking a couple distos . I have been playing direct so I want to see if the preamp will make a diff. I have a couple of actual amps to try but this concept kinda has to be like SunnO)))/MBV loud to bring out the nuance and since I’m just a 49 year old rando the doomsynth drone already elicits a 97% eye roll even among friends but that’s where I’m at ATM. You can see my setup in the pedalboards thread.
