All the monsters in Prometheus look like Pokemon, and the Architects all look like they really need to take a crap.
Salut, solid gold.
"What if God hates you" was an idea that deserved better than that movie. They just used it for headfuck window dressing on the side of a reboot script. Hack shit.

I've been looking forward to starting it. My view may be slightly biased by a family member working on it.

Now I’m feeling like I should at least have a stab at ep 2.
Another thing - what’s with the Sabbath at the end of ep1?! This is not a fucking rock n roll party people - it’s total looming annihilation. The thing I love about Alien is that atmosphere of grim dread. Now it’s all dressed up as “entertainment” with deliberate levity - dilutes the crap out of it…

The first two episodes had a bizarre, complete absence of tension, even in scenes where terrible stuff was happening. It's almost impressive to be able to make that setting and creature completely humdrum.

This franchise jumped the proverbial shark something like 30 years ago. You are expecting miracles for this not to be just another trendy TV show with the endless needle drops.

Maggot Brain plays during a montage in Episode 3.
It’s a cover recorded by the musical director

That is specifically damning. Worse for this genre than accidental comedy.

The last episode was capital. They should all be like that.

I can only assume that the first science officer and the captain of the Maginot were brilliant leaders, because everyone else on that ship except Morrow was a fucking moron.
