Event 35: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha
Winner: Rafi Amit ($500k)
No picture, but there was an interesting event that happened when this tournament was heads-up. Rafi utter the word 'Fuck' and at the WSOP there is a strict "No F-bomb" rule. Others heard him say it, and the penalty is 10 minutes away from the table. Normally, this isn't such a huge deal, but since it was heads-up, his opponent Vinny Vinh was able to rebuild his dwindling chip stack and hold on for another hour before Amit won it all.
Event 36: $3000 Limit HE
Winner: Todd Witteles ($347k)

Hard to make that look good. Anyway, it's a good gauge of who is playing well this year at the WSOP. Check out Allen Cunnningham with 4 final tables.
Tomorrow, the first field of ~2200 players play down to 650.
The next day, the second field of ~2200 play down to 650.
The next day, the third feild of ~2200 play down to 650.
The fourth day, the "day 2" of the event, starts with the combined field and plays down to between 500 and 1000 players.
"Day 3" starts with between 500 - 100 and plays down to 200 - 400.
"Day 4" plays down to 100 - 150.
"Day 5" plays down to 3 tables (27 players)
"Day 6" moves to Binions Horseshoe down to the final table (9 players)
"Day 7" is the final table.
Or to put it another way:
"[EACH PLAYER STARTS WITH 10,000 IN CHIPS.] EACH LEVEL WILL LAST TWO HOURS, WITH A 15-MINUTE BREAK AFTER EVERY LEVEL. THE FIELD WILL BE SPLIT OVER FIRST THREE DAYS AND WILL COMBINE ON DAY FOUR. DAYS FOUR FIVE AND SIX WILL PLAY FIVE LEVELS EACH. DAY SEVEN WILL BE PLAYED DOWN TO 36 (this is a discrepancy) PLAYERS. DAY EIGHT WILL BE PLAYED DOWN TO THE FINAL NINE PLAYERS. PLAY RESUMES AT NOON EACH DAY. 4% of the total entry pool will be withheld for the house. 2% of the total entry pool will be withheld for tournament staff."
The winner is looking at $10 Million. Everyone who makes it to the final table will leave at least a million dollars richer.
It should make for an exciting 9 days.
