This is gnarlier than the octave fuzz charity build. I have it as the only thing between guitar and a super clean and quiet AC30 and it goes from nice little oomph to fucking canvas shredding. I put a synth pedal and a cocked wah after it and got some wildly fun shit just now.

Finished up a pair of these dudes, the previously mentioned tube big muff. Takeaways? I think they're very cool. They sound a lot less compressed than a transistor version. Kinda like a high gain amp with that characteristic muff tone control. Super fun.

Hot damn. How easy would it be to integrate the mini-tubes into other pedal builds?

I've nothing valuable to say but I wanted to register my continued awe at the artistry and integrity of the Dr Balls creations. One day I'll be a good enough player to commission an amp.

Easy, depending on the circuit. The Big Muff is a particularly straightforward example because the schematic for that circuit just looks like four gain stages in a row (some with clipping). Its easy to imagine that as four tube amp-like triode stages and follow the datasheets and build from there. Applying the same tubes to other pedal circuits (fuzz face, for example) and I dont know how they would respond....worth a try though. But as far as just using them in a pedal build? Very easy. There was chatter on here a bit ago about the Thermionics TE-01 pedal and I already breadboarded something like that with one of these tubes. Totally doable.
