He lost to a more hardline former life pastor at a mega bucks church that runs a pool company. I think it's just a turd with a different polish.

Is it just me or does it seem weird that Bessent is very often quoted in the news talking about military/war stuff? I don't recall other treasury secretaries getting airtime about wars.

Basically, the less MAGA are going down for more extreme MAGA. Anyway, now that the Republican senate primary in Texas is gone to a run off, there's 10 weeks of them having to fight each other. It seems like by the time the general election is over, the republican party will be spending close to half a billion dollars to get Paxton in there, and if he loses, it will be the funniest self-own in history.

This election is going to turn the republican party even more extreme. So, let's hope they lose more seats. If the war truly is unpopular, than the bloodbath is going to be huge.

It's really sad that Trump can start a war, have no coherent plan or justification, and then retcon a vote for war powers. How fucking awful are we? I just hope the racists in MAGA are cool with being a bitch for Israel. I'm not talking about the religious nuts who think they're using Israel to bring Christ back. I'm talking about the real racists who aren't evangelicals.
