Yeah.. I use a Ross Distortion, the poop-brown unit. It's just a very good distortion pedal. Works very well with my high-gain Park for a little bit more buzz and thickness. They can get very dirty, or give you a reasonably clean boost. Sounds great with clean amps as well. The later, black-coloured units aren't quite as good I hear. But yeah, they're not amazing but they're excellent basic distortion pedals, better than Boss or even a Tube Screamer to my ears.

I just picked up one of these-couple bad frets from the factory so it was like 1/2 of the already minimal price.http://cgi.ebay.com/Lawson-Hollow-Body- ... QptZGuitarIt is pretty, and w/ a pickup/tuner swap could probably be decent. I need to practice my refretting skills anyway, so this is a good platform for that.

Buying guitars for kids is great, I got my kids a short scale squire. That looks like a nice guitar.I've got a EV634 mic (actually two of them) on it's a way. It's made for harmonica but I'l see what eles it can do when it gets here.

But it has a set neck, and decent hardware. I thought about a 3/4 scale, but he would out grow it in a year or so. Plus, I wanted a two humbucker guitar around to play.
