Tinnitus ruined my only chance of a late sleep/lie-in for weeks today. It seems to have got much worse over the last few months; probably due to more than normal amount of drum tracking.

Medium-to-quite scared about it. Hmmmffff.

OK so I had this little project going on the old PRF that I was going to keep working on either until someone noticed or I died, but since the forum archive was only partially saved it's clear that the project is lost forever.

On the Book Talk thread I posted about reading the book Correction by Thomas Bernhard, in part about a guy who corrects his manuscript thousands of times. Well I had gone into that post about Correction and edited it close to 100 times over 12 years or however long it was up. Super bummed it's gone.

Yesterday my best friend and his wife (Dj and Dixie) came over to my house and we watched 'Stand By Me" that movie is much sadder than I remember it being, good conversation and fun was had by all. This is the first time we have had anyone over besides family since the virus started, this was a big deal.

Played a show today, for the first time in over a year. It was raining and I didn’t expect anyone to show up, but lots of people showed up, and everyone seemed glad to be there. Had a blast.

Went to a PRFers house, bought records, hung out and hugged and laughed for just over 3 hours, with a bunch of other forum members.

3 weeks ago one of my best friends had 2 heart attacks and died twice.

He's a lucky bastard that there was already an ambulance there (racetrack) He's hopefully on the mend now.

He's only 3 months older than me.

Like, a little over one month ago I decided to get a pedicure. I'd been growing out my nails just to give the tech something to work with, you know? Besides, I cut them uneven because I stink at it. Well, bills and such got in the way so I had to nix the pedicure. However, I didn't want to trim my nails because I knew in a relatively short amount of time I'd be able to say "fuck it" and go for broke. Weeks passed, nails grew longer. I think up until today my nails have been growing for almost two months. So gross. My work office is also in a dry, dirty, and dusty basement with walk-in freezers, coolers, and such. Suffice it to say my shit's been all jacked up...until today. Splurging on self-care and vanity.
