Indeed, yes it is. It's also the little sister to the Bandit 65.

I've often had the dream of just getting a couple Bandit 65 combos for either my noisy rock rig, or as stereo power amps with speakers for Helix. I always thought the Bandit 65s sounded terrible in a heartwarming way; like a warm memory of childhood camping where you were cold and hungry for half the trip.
Indeed. This whole series mostly has the same preamp and bigger and bigger power sections and speakers. I had a Bandit 65 as a kid and bought a Backstage Plus a year or so ago for $60. Scratches that itch. Recommended! I personally think they sound pretty great clean or with the saturation halfway up. Pull thick and turn that post up.
