You're right about that. I was unclear. These points are for us. At some point in the clown show many of us need to look to the person on each side of us and go, "This is fucking bullshit, right?". Both parties know it but it's comforting to check in on reality while the magic boxes keep weaving new hallucinations for us.

For me, that's a kink and that's a really personal thing as well. You have them, I have them, I don't bring them to my work or into my relationship with my daughter. Again, in a healthy society those people would be nowhere near the people in power. But, since we're here with the people around them that have probably done much worse things on a human to human level, this gets a bigger audience because of the surname involved.

Agreed - going through a normal family event means they are humans. The fact that they are the living embodiment of evil means they deserve zero sympathy. Reserve that for people in real crisis.

It is impossible for myself to dismiss this as a personal kink seeing the damage that the Noems are causing, unless murder, separations of families, denying gender-affirming care, child abuse, et al are now finally under the umbrella of kink.

We are not "voting" our way out of anything. Voting is what you do a couple of times a year transactionally to attempt to move the system slightly in favor of the marginalized.

The work is elsewhere.
