Oh yeah, that's another one. If the ballistics on that are correct then who really shot the guy?
tyler still shot him. they are just saying that the bullets could match the rifle, but it's not definitive.

Crazy thing happened this weekend. We were driving to my in-laws who live in rural Indiana. We saw no Trump signs for the first time in years. We did see some LGBTQ flags that we hadn't before, and strangely, we saw Vote Democratic signs up, which I've never seen before. Either, it's proof that the low-level MAGA cult members are fleeing, or maybe they're hiding out of embarrassment. But it's even more wild to see open libral/democratic/LGBTQ signage and flags. It shows that either MAGA is done with Trump, or not very enthusiastic, and that the democratic base is very enthusiastic, even emboldened.

My sister-in-law, who up until the last year was very apolitical, got upset with my FIL for saying stupid Fox News talking points. She chewed him out in front of my MIL and my other SIL and my wife. That was out of character. My FIL was pretty sidelined the whole easter Sunday during our visit. My MAGA BIL was literally quoting Richard Wolf and follows him on Youtube... Interesting take: he's a union construction working, and he's working a huge Amazon data center. He told me they (he and his fellow construction workers) didn't realize the impact of Data centers. He said one data center in another town over took more water than previously stated, and the entire town had a 10ft drop in their wells, and then the data center was pumping out more water than they stated, flooding farmland further down the creek. So now the township is up in arms and they might shut down the data center. The one he's working on is waiting for Phase 2 to get approved, but he said that Amazon basically lied about how much water it needs, and now its' not certain that Phase 2 will be approved. But the irony is, people need jobs, because the economy fucking sucks, so they take on jobs that will eventually fuck a community over, and some (not all) of those people building it live in the community about to be fucked.

I know this is anecdotal, but it's still worth noting. Though, I saw a number that showed that about half the data centers planned for building in 2026 are either canceled or indefinitely stalled.

The other problem lying underneath the surface is, if MAGA goes when Trump dies, we have the new generation of white nationalists who think this country should cater only to white christians who's European ancestors took the land for God's purpose, and that the bible should be taught in public school, as such the story of Moses should be part of a history class.

So, while MAGA is dying, it's corpse is transmogrifying with deeply disturbing long-term issues. If there's no real opposition to that, or rehabilitation from MAGA, we're going to be in this death spiral for quite some time, maybe another generation. THings are going to get bad, either peopel are going to flee to religion or government for survival. Either we're going to embrace a narrow view of christianity, or social democracy.

I think the pendulum is going to swing back, hard, at least in the partisan sense. The real problem is whether everyone center or left can come together and elect someone who can actually help improve conditions for working people.

The opportunity will clearly be there, we need the leadership that can actually do something with it.

Yeah, and I see the outcome could be one of two things: dems drop the ball, continue to re-elect same leadership or party recognizes the moment, elects new leadership. If the first happens, it's going to be more neoliberalism with AIPAC influence. the other could potentially address the issues that are feeding white national populism, like healthcare, inflation, war, oligarchy. if the democratic party has no answer other than miniscule steps for mitigation, that party is going to remain in the wilderness, and the other side is going to take hold with more class warfare in favor of the oligarchy.

You could never write a better real life story of what capitalism actually is. This is o on point that it actually hurts how much I'm laughing about how this whole shit is fucked up and deserves a revolution. But on the other hand, people can't afford it. It's a never ending cycle, until it actually ends by the sheer will of survival.

Oh rest assured, the Dems have it under control. They're debating about Hasan Piker the last couple of weeks.

Apparently 20% of ballistic tests result in "inconclusive" findings. Does not exonerate Robinson, just means the bullet is not proof enough.

A military vet chimed in on this after it happened. He said the distance and the accuracy made him believe that this was either a lucky shot, or someone else killed him and the kid was set up. That seems like the only plausible two answers. If the ballistics exonerates him, it proves the latter theory.
