The Lowdown
Created by Sterlin Harjo, the guy behind Reservation Dogs. Comedic/dramatic noir set in Tulsa lead by Ethan Hawke as the nosey journalist who just keeps getting his ass kicked. I'm pretty psyched on this one.
For the Carpenter fans...

Yeah it's pretty good so far. A little bit of Coen Brothers vibe to it.

There's a new show on HBO called The Chair Company, starring Tim Robinson, directed by Adam McKay. Looks awesome, gonna try to watch it this week.
It looks like it might be more than just Tim Robinson being Tim Robinson, which I am looking forward to seeing. Since watching Friendship (which I really liked), I've been wanting to see Robinson branch out a little more on his character style.

"Stinkfist" in the second one, which lead me to admit to my wife that I really love Tool, and I think she was maybe disgusted.
Hahah. After that one hit in the episode I had to admit to myself that I used to really like Tool (and might possibly still ... nah, not ready to go that far), and I think I was maybe disgusted.

"Long Story Short" on Netflix.
Animated series from the Bojack Horseman guy. Some similar absurd humor and dark psychology, but not as dark as Bojack. The animation style is a little more mucky and cluttered. Decidedly focused on the East coast American Jewish culture, overbearing mother figure, neurosis, finding the place for ritual in modern life etc.
I dug it. Only 10 episodes.

Watched the first episode of The Chair Company today.
It's great and reviews of the season as a whole are promising.

Could not finish ep01, having seen all of his Netflix series and now this much of this, not for me. I was barely on the fence at one point.
I had to watch this old bit twice last night, though:

I love them. "I got the kids"!
