you better hurry up. what part of ffxii are you at? 52 hours logged, level 32, on our way to the imperial city of archades... i swear this game never ends.

For me, OKAMI has been the best 'please don't end' game of late. A much bigger game than it first appears to be. And every moment an absolute joy. Not too bad on the eyes either is it.

i am very excited about OKAMI. this is the first i've heard of it. last night we did a search and watched a trailor for it on the site and... wow. the graphics look awesome and the story sounds fun.

as a side note, anyone know of any good co-op games? last good one we played was return of the king, which was insanely addictive, but that was a couple of years ago and haven't found anything comparable since.

FFXII-wise i'm sort of fannying about doing side-quests and colelcting rare loot to make weapons. I think I'm nearly at the end of the main story. I'm up over the 100 hour stage at least, level 60-something but I've been taking my time getting extra espers and hunting marks.

My last exam is tomorrow! so I can see a videogames marathon approaching, however FFXII will be competing against Deadwood, Venture Bros and rum.

As far as co-op games go, the best one I've ever played is Timesplitters 2. I would imagine Timesplitters 3 is also good, i've only played the one-player mode.
You should be able to get either of them for way cheap as they're a few years old.

Final Fantasy - Crystal Chronicle for Gamecube! The single player is average at best but as a 2 (or even 3 / 4) player adventure it is fantastic. Very very enjoyable indeed. And it will take you months to get the music out of your head.

Star Wars Rebel Strike for Gamecube also is good for a blast on 2 player co-op. Much fun to be had there is.
You're a shit DM and i want my pizza money back.

Narnia and I play together on the Gamecube.............it's becoming an obsession, although I think I'm a little more obsessed than she. She spends more time on her DS playing Animal Crossing.

Is there NO ONE on these forums but me who likes virtual farming?
The cat with the toast, once it's free in the air, will float at its cat-toast equilibrium point, where butter repulsion forces and cat forces are in balance.

I played the GBA version 'Friends of Mineral town'. It was pretty enjoyable, but ultimately it got a bit boring watering the crops and stuff. Plus my hens kept getting sick.
I have got the Gamecube version that I got really cheap when a local videogames store closed down, but I've never got round to playing it. Maybe on of these days.

and re: FF Crystal Chronicles, I've never been able to round up enough people for a multiplayer game, I think solum suggested doing it once, but now we live in different cities it's a bit difficult. I'm looking forward to some multiplayer Guitar Hero and Donkey Konga action at my birthday barbeque next week.

Starcraft! You could probably download it for free somewhere. It's over a decade old and still one of the best RTS's.

I've heard good things about Fable as well.

Obviously, you'd wanna read up on these things first.

I played Fable. Biggest disappointment ever. Once the game finally got interesting, it was over. I was so pissed off. The game is too short and the things people liked about it are too gimicky, they don't really apply to the story as importantly as they make it out to be. Save yourself some wasted hours and get something else.

I've always thought rpg's were boring. Almost every game I've played a lot in the past has involved "shooting commies" or "shooting capitalists" or "shooting jerries" or "blowing up charlie" or "decapitating stormtroopers" (lego or otherwise.) Which is repetitive in its own way, but lots of fun.

But now, I've been playing that Earthbound game. Balls.

I suppose I should be grateful that there are no links to GridWars for mac.
