Can't for the life of me remember where that idea came from, though. Google search brings up nothing.A straight sub might be brutally sweet, but I can see something like that working with different proportions. And I'm sure it would be simple with a whiskey.Another good thing to do with Benedictine is put it in coffee. Benedictine, strong dark coffee, and a lemon twist. Or a little soft-whipped cream.Seriously though, trust me on the Antibes. That's a goddamn good drink. Liven up your motherfucking brunch. Look like a fancy chap.

amelia wrote:I'm super into the Pisco Sour with egg whites. Like a citrus dessert. NomOne of my favorites. Try grating fresh nutmeg on the foam.Whiskey sours are pretty nice, too. Tonight I'm keeping it simple with some Nardini "Tagliatella" on the rocks.

I made this tonight:1-1/4 oz Rye (Templeton)3/4 oz St Germain1/4 tsp. Green ChartreuseStir with ice and strain into old fashioned glass with a couple of cubes. Top with sparkling apple cider. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.Thinking of calling it a 'Haute Alps Sidecar'.You can also use Pear Brandy in place of the rye.

Been really enjoying various "sours" lately: Whiskey, Angostura (using Amargo Vallet), Pisco, and Daiquiris.
