I've heard that in some countries they use maggots in medicine, to have them eat infected tissue out of a wound or lesion.

I believe they've done that in some hospitals in the U.S.

They also use leaches to keep they blood flowing on reattached fingers.

This morning: put on socks, put on shoes. Felt something funny about my feet. Took off right shoe, took off right sock. Released beetle. Sought alternative sock.

yeah, what mark said about the dehumidifiers...those'll help your place all around and keep fungus and other nastiness from happening...

They look like tiny mollusks with round shells, not even 1mm across, but they could be beetles. Tiny, brown-black immobile beetles stuck to all of the stems and ferny leaves, especially near the roots. They don't move, which is why I think they may be eggs.

I don't know if they are beneficial pests or if I should pull the plant and throw them to the concrete to dry and wither. They don't look like any aphid I've seen. Asparagus beetles perhaps, but not really because of the shape..

Ew. I hope they don't turn to larvae. I hate larvae. Caterpillars are my biggest phobia.

What are these things?
