I'd be interested to hear why. I haven't really got an opinion of him, I haven't paid enough attention. He's been brushed under the carpet with every other politician. But people either tend to be really into him or think he's just a twat (that's a quote). Someone I know* was seriously thinking about volunteering to be his driver when he heard that George drives everywhere himself.

Galloway is a former Scottish Labour Member of Parliament that ran for, and won the Bow and Bethnal Green seat in London as a "Respect Party" politician at the last General Election.

Bethnal Green as a largely Muslim population. The ex-MP is hard working and decent women -and was one of the only black women in the UK parliament- also happened to be Jewish. Galloway exploited the Muslim voters possible underlying anti-Semitism during the election to win the seat.

I can understand why you don't like him Gramsci, but this a mendacious and selective reading of those events, at best. This is the sort of analysis I expect from the Telegraph or Mail.

Nope, it was an piece on Newsnight and there were also rumblings in The Guardian

I don't mind the fella really. He's outspoken and that appeals to me. That being said I don't think appearing on Big Brother is very good considering he is a paid member of parliament and there are more things he could be doing with his time like dealing with his constituency.
