6EV. That's what it looks like to me tha number you are givining is I think a more modern number. This mike was popular and was used by reporters and was considered to be pro type gear. They were also used in a lot of studio's back in the day.
I have a couple of them and use them in place of SM57's for stimilar type duties. Voice or Guitar Amp mikeing. They do not sound like a 57 though.

7Another EV mic poplular around that time was the RE10. I would put more money down on being a 635.

8EV 635 - i'd wager. i have one from the 70's. they're really great mics. and cheap.
